Balance Computation Method, Interest Compounding, and Interest Credit Tiers are used. Interest rates and Annual Percentage Yield (APY) are based on the deposit amount and deposit time period selected.

The current Interest Credit Tiers are: over $1000.00; over $15,000.00; & over $50,000.00.

“Jumbo” Certificates over $100,000.00 are quoted interest rates on an individual basis.

Interest for your account is compounded periodically, (i.e., quarterly, semi-annually, or annually) and is included in the expressed APY quote.

Certificates of Deposit interest may be posted in a number of ways. You may have the flexibility to change how we post your interest at most any time. Your interest may be compounded or paid to another Grinnell State Bank account. Depending on how you take your interest, the interest rate and APY may change after account opening.

Certificates of Deposit do not have transaction capability.

Important Information about Procedures for Opening a New Account: To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal Law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
